First blog!

Well this is my first blog sooooo here we go!
Just updating on a busy few weeks! I will start with Jason.

Jason is 17 years old but is convinced he is really 21. He enjoys football, basketball, swimming, four-wheeling, movies, dinners, anything sports-oriented and likes naps. He is currently going to Cottonwood High school and has a 3.6 grade point average. He is very dedicated to his homework and grades and always keeps them about a 3.5. He is currently doing football work-outs which are pretty vigorous because he has come home pretty sore a few times and talks about how the coach keeps them in tip-top shape. Cottonwood is always in the top three teams in the state when it comes to football and I guess its the work-out that gets the credit. Jason is dating a really sweet girl named Gabi. She is pretty tall and she has a great personality. She is also very pretty! I guess thats a major reason why he likes her. She hangs out mostly on weekends, but once in a while they sneak a week-day in for some down-time. They usually just get dinner and a movie and hang out. They are both mellow and I don't mind that one bit! Other than that I am not to sure what else to tell ya about Jason... he is excited for summer (but who isn't) and he is excited to not be in school anymore!

I am doing pretty good. I am 23 yrs old, I work as a youth counselor for the Boys & Girls Club of Murray. My job pretty much consumes most of my life ha ha. I am always working or working on work related things or I am in comatose on the couch from a long day at work! I love it though. I love the kids I get to work with every day. I don't think I will be leaving that job for a long long long time. I have been pulling triple duty because my boss is out on maternity leave, one of our staff quit so that leaves me and my co-worker to cover for 2 missing people. He is a tech staff so he is usually in the lab. Sooo I have been a "girls group" leader "boys group" leader "youth for unity" leader "street smarts" leader "Keystone" leader "Triple Play" Leader and acting as the Director of the teen center. I also am the basketball leagues coach (we took second by the way) so its been an extremely busy month!
I also have been keeping pretty active with volleyball. I play in a league in Lehi and right now we are undefeated. So its been pretty fun! I play middle blocker (which I really hate, I have always played Opposite/Right Side hitter) but I can hold my own and I am pretty good at blocking. :)
I have a wonderful girlfriend that I have been dating for two months. Her name is Kae. She plays volleyball with me (or I play volleyball with her) and we really enjoy it. She lives in Provo so there is a lot of commuting to see each other but I don't mind at all. I love it! :-)

We just got a dog. His name is Maximus Prime. He is soooo funny. He is a medium/small dog. Border Collie/Australian Shepard mix. He knows "Sit", "stay", "roll over", "knuckles", and you can leave a treat on his snout and he won't try to eat it til you give him permission. He is usually well behaved. He gets a little attitude once in a while, but what dog doesn't. He likes naps and he likes movies. If he doesn't like the movie your watching he won't watch it.

So that is just a little about us and what we have been up to! More to come soon.......

Yay!!! You've posted something! Good job, by the way, it looks great! Did you teach your dog all those tricks? If so, you have to come and teach ours! The boys miss you guys (as always)...and Kae too! Well, keep it up, I'll love to look and read about your life - something different than my "mom" life! Love you guys! Pris

Hey it is so good to see you on here! Now you just need to post a few pictures. Jessi told me you brought a girl down, but I am excited to hear about your life. It actually sounds fun to work where you do! It's just gearing you up for having your own kids someday, which is really hard work by the way!!

So John, I see that your word doesn't mean a whole lot. ;o) You say more to come soon and then five months later and there is still nothing. It was fun to see what you have been up to. Are you still with the league in Lehi? That is so close to my house that it isn't even funny. We should have you guys over for dinner or something. (I won't even smash you into my piano!) You know you miss me!
